The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary (EFS) is located in south Titusville on Columbia Boulevard (SR 405). Study trips correlated to Sunshine State Standards and FCATs are offered for schools by the Sanctuary. These study trips concentrate on science and math standards in a unique way.
The philosophy of the study trips for grades K-5 is to expose students to the outdoors to create an awareness and appreciation for local plants, animals, and ecosystems.
For middle and high school students, our philosophy encourages exploration of land and habitat management, human impacts upon the environment, and personal reflection of environmental stewardship.
The study trips include an interactive hike, exploration of exhibits and nature-based activities.

During June and July the Caribbean Conservation Corporation (CCC) has a limited number of spaces for the public to join a guided turtle watch. CCC hopes the experience of a guided sea turtle walk will inspire future naturalists and sea turtle advocates.
Florida's beaches, especially along the east central coast in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, provide nesting habitat for more nesting loggerhead turtles than any place in the Western Hemisphere, and more endangered green turtles than any place in North America. In addition, endangered leatherback sea turtles nest in the Archie Carr Refuge.
Watches will be conducted by both CCC and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The cost is a $10 donation per person, paid in advance, to hold your space.

The preservation of Brevard County’s rich environment made conservation history in 1990 when voters supported a bond referendum to purchase environmentally endangered lands in the county. The referendum authorized issuance of limited tax bonds for a period of twenty years for the purpose of purchasing, protecting, and maintaining these lands, and for improvements for passive recreation and environmental education. Initially under the direction of the Brevard County’s Office of Natural Resources, the Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program came under management of the Parks and Recreation Department in September 1997.
EEL is a willing-seller program that does not regulate or restrict private land rights. The program represents long-term protection of essential natural resources, open space, wildlife corridors and maintenance of natural ecosystem functions.
Each site acquired through the EEL Program will have a management plan that outlines both management goals and compatible recreational and educational activities.
Buying lands for conservation requires a commitment to continued land management. Land managers recreate natural cycles of fire and water, remove invasive non-native species, and replant native vegetation to restore degraded areas.
